Plant Care
Tillandsias are low maintenance but not no-maintenance plants. Follow the care notes sent with your order and also available on this website and you shouldn’t have any difficulty getting your plants to thrive. If you have any concerns please contact us and we will do our best to assist.
Tillandsias are ideally suited to being used in creative ways in your home. They do require light and air circulation but can tolerate lower levels for a month or two. An ideal way to use airplants is to rotate the locations you display them every couple of months
Tillandsias only use their roots to anchor themselves, not for absorption and so they can be mounted in a variety of ways. Use waterproof glue or coated wire to attach your plant to a pebble, rock or piece of wood and let your imagination run wild.
You can order online using the online shop. If you prefer you can email ruth@rareandair.co.za for a price list and order by email. Payment by EFT or credit/debit card via our payment partner Yoco.
